Camesha Jones is a SHRM-CP certified human resources professional with over 15 years of experience in HR, risk assessment, and DEI compliance. She holds a law degree from The University of North Carolina School of Law. After earning her law degree, she helped pave the way for the opening of high-quality charter schools in North Carolina through PEFNC’s NC Public School Accelerator Program alongside co-creator Christopher Gergen. She previously served on the Board of Directors for a Raleigh charter school.
Throughout her career, Camesha has coached executives and leadership teams on embedding DEIB and racial equity into their HR practices while building strong, sustainable people systems. She supports organizations in recruiting and retaining diverse talent, developing HR policies, interpreting employment laws, advising employees and C-level executives, and building talent systems that support long-term organizational growth.
Camesha currently facilitates workshops and advises organizations on complex HR matters, including employee relations, leadership development, talent strategy, policy development, and navigating sensitive workforce decisions such as terminations and layoffs.
