Founder and Senior Consultant, Camesha Jones
Camesha Jones, is a SHRM-CP certified professional with over 15 years of experience in HR and a law degree from The University of North Carolina School of Law. Her areas of expertise include recruiting and retaining diverse talent, developing HR policies, interpreting laws, advising and coaching employees and C-level executives, building out talent systems, and presenting workshops on topics such as equity and diversity, talent strategies, and a host of other HR matters.
Camesha’s work in public schools began when she served as a seventh grade district teacher in a rural community near the Wilmington coast. After obtaining her law degree, she paved the way for the opening of high-quality charter schools in North Carolina with co-creator Christopher Gergen through PEFNC’s NC Public School Accelerator Program. Later, she joined a national charter school network and led recruitment and HR strategies to help attract, hire, and retain teachers for both rural and urban communities.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for a Raleigh charter school.
